Sony Music's customer support experience

Hi,
I just had an experience of Sony Music's customer support and I would say it was bit slow but consistent, always heading towards the solution, till I finally I got the resolution. Although the issue was small, I am glad to be listened to and have the problem solved.

Interested in what was the issue? Here is a log of my conversation with the support team in reverse chronological order (some details truncated for sake of privacy of the persons involved):

Hi,

I got the defective album replaced today and I was provided with a new package. The whole process took less than half a minute including my total time in the shop! I am finally able to enjoy whole value of my purchase. :-)

I am thankful to Sony Music for hearing up to me and providing the solution. The resolution reflects that Sony Music has a great support team. All the best!

Regards,
Akashdeep

Subject: Defective album | Seek replacement

Hi,

I bought a Sony Music album "Soulful Sufi" bearing the number "88697

54681 2" on the edge. The package bears a bar code that carries the
number "86975 46812".

When I played the CD labeled Disc 1, the same did not contain the songs

as listed on the leaflet but a movie "Space Buddies" instead of the Sufi
Songs as listed. The Disc 2 is however good.

I demand an immediate replacement of the defective product and await

instructions for obtaining the replacement.

Thanks

Puny virus booing the world

Hi,

Been a while since I have posted here. Sometimes it is hard to prioritize your day and the first things to get the beating are the ones we enjoy the most over the ones that stand a greater material obligation. Be it a favorite hobby, a personal goal that is held in back of your mind from a long time or anything that you derive pleasure from. Because one, our mind is too occupied for pleasure and two that our calenders are too crowded for leisure. That rhymes! :-)

I am running out of the words already! or say that running out of amusing words because lately it has mostly been life in general minus some comfort thanks to a puny little virus that has held all the medical streams in its stride since the beginning of the times. Be it Ayurveda, Homeopathy, or any of those hard to spell streams of medicine. Correct guess. it's common cold! I dare the whole medical fraternity to find a vaccine to this inconvenience. Although this little uneasiness is within my threshold of discomfort any day (except the irritable nose from constant wiping :-D). But when you have to live a larger than average day both at home and work, it's effects become all the more pronounced.

Of course this virus deserves a little credit for this post because I would have been busy elsewhere either Tweaking, or reading, was it not for an urge to relax triggered by this little bug.

I have coughed and sneezed quite a few times while typing this. But don't worry, it wont affect you across the net. Take care. Yes, I am taking care too. See I can read minds! =)

Ciao.

A little relief

Hello  after a long time!

I wonder if anyone cares at all but I was occupied with some self assigned tasks and some 'karmic' obligations. Finally as the challenges are over I am back to my old routine which is, not much of a routine though. :-)

Just to let you know what I am up to these days: The Tweaker is awake and causing me to spend on some tools and tackles. Thinking about things to do. Basically DIY stuff. Believe me DIY is cool and it is just an extension of our school-time craft and science projects deal. Keep an eye on my new blog http://MusingsOfATweaker.blogspot.com.

Well... You are also welcome to summon me for any ideas and if you are local, invitations for weekend home-fixes are welcome. :-)

Secondly, work is amazing by offering new challenges every now and then and that keeps you alert and do not let the brain catch any rust. So got to learn some stuff on the fly to deliver some expectations.

Thirdly, getting out of shape :(. Time for subscribing to pump some iron again this year around. That will happen soon.

And finally going to read some English literature, both classic and modern, and maybe Punjabi too (talking of Heer Varis Shah and so forth).

Those were the quick quick quick updates on the Vortexes of life.

See you soon.
Take care :-)

A drive to grand homes

Hi,

Back again. This week brought a visit to my maternal and paternal grand homes. Although the occasion was not an auspicious one but nostalgia took over after a while.

Met many relatives and cousins from the extended family. Caught up with the family 'current affairs' and recounted older times when we were able to live less formally and spend time as if we have got all of it in the world!

Humid weather reminded of how tough the weather is going on people out there who have to stay out in order to make a living or worse have to live in the open at the mercy of weather.

The best part was the 300 KM + drive up and down included. It was a first for me and much thankful that it went pretty well leaving me in good shape for the tomorrow's cricket match sponsored by some colleagues' collective effort. Good way to spend the (week and) weekend and stretch out for the coming week.

Take care!

My bike review published by an online Biking mag!

Hey!

Now this is exciting.

I have been following BikeAdvice.in for quite a while now as my source about the latest and hottest in biking world. They had started Bike Review Contests few months ago.

This time around, I also decided to participate in the contest. So took some photos with my cellphone camera and sat down on a journey through time to see what I went through with this bike right from purchase decision till date. I was barely able to make my submission on the last day of closing the submissions for contest.

Today, it was a surprise to find my submission published online, about 10 days after the submission was made. Also glad to find so many readers relate to the review and provide positive feedback as well.

Here is link to the publication on BikeAdvice.in:

"Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler Review by Akashdeep"

If you happen to go through it, which I would insist you do, please do not forget to leave a comment and provide feedback!

So? I will call it more than a day!

Take care and good night
